Richard REED

Richard REED

A New Path - November 2-26, 2011

Opening Reception this Friday 4, from 6 - 8pm

We're so happy to exhibit Richard Reed's ceramics. Richard is widely known for his paintings so when the idea of a ceramics show came up we were of course all in. He's found this re-newed spirit for an old friend in ceramics. It's interesting how you can see his paintings in the new ceramics, 2-D morphing into 3-D, very cool.

Stop out Friday night - see this amazing show of

ceramics and fabulous drawings and say Hi to Richard!

We're a little more than 1/2 way through this most recent G9 exhibit of local artists. This all women show has been very popular but we're sure some of you have yet to make it in. Consider this your friendly wake up call. It's an amazing example of local talent.

Here's a couple of pics from Opening Night

Hey everybody it's time for another Group of Nine, or G9 as we call it. This all women exhibit explores (some) of the amazing talent found right here in this place we call home.

Be sure to stop by and support these women during their Opening Reception on Saturday October 1, from 4-6pm.

Now, take a moment ----- think of all the tedious hours spent alone in their studios producing this generous body of work. Well, this is your chance to say thanks, maybe a hug, and keep them well stocked and abundantly overflowing with that one magic ingredient we all seek - inspiration.

Mille Guldbeck, Kelly Sheehan, Michelle Carlson

Kristin Kowalski, Penny Gentieu, Candra Boggs

Cheryl Takata, Mania Dajnak, Mary Pencheff

Beautiful prints born from the common gesture of friendship.
Ms Goldman was loaned a book of Audubon prints nearly a decade ago. These prints have been and continue to be inspired by that book and the beautiful John James Audubon images on its pages.

Collaborative Effort

Two of our favorites, sculptor Thomas Lingeman and glass artist Mary Ellen Graham have recently completed and installed this stunning collaborative work in Columbus, OH.
Kudos to these talented local artists who worked tirelessly through the summer and fall designing and implementing this glorious and inspired new piece.

the NOW WOW project

There's still time!
Deadline is approaching so if you're still on the fence just jump off and get that entry sent in. I've had some questions regarding the file format, size, dpi etc. Apparently what I've asked for is not actually possible, oops (why are artists always reaching?) So just save the file w/ a smaller dpi or in a way you're sure the work will look great, w/out making it too large, and we're all good.

Download the prospectus at http://www.hudsongallery.net/ or click the image above.
Deadline January 22, 2011
